“Anywhere” asks how a dance might engage with, and itself be, a monument.

Westwater’s new work, Anywhere, had it’s world premiere September 16 &17, 2016 in Conwell Dance Theater at Temple University and it’s New York City premiere April 19-22, 2017 at Brooklyn Studios for Dance. Anywhere is performed by five dancers to Henryk Górecki’s “Symphony No. 3.” It features a unique relationship between movement and sound through a sound integration design by Architect Seung-Jae Lee. Lee also designed a set and Roderick Murray designed the lights. For video excerpts go here.

Process-based showings of the new work occurred at Danspace Project Draftwork Series, Dance on the Greenway Festival, Dixon Place, and Movement Research at the Judson Church.
